Actually when i bought my truck thats exactly what it looked like...still had the camper and all...i regret selling it...

Re: am i not cool?

Here is the way I drove my 67 C/20 for years... now it is getting a lowering treatment as well as a shortbed conversion... going for the sports car handling with my truck... I was inspired by the Ranger they built on the show Trucks... I am going with a Early Classic Enterprises 4" front and 6" rear drop suspension with a 4 wheel disc brake system... I am staying with the trailing arm rear suspension but going with the tubular Arms... I am also keeping the C/20 front Stabilizer bar and adding a 1 1/8" rear sway bar... I am staying with the original 327 Engine gut adding a 3 deuce setup and a 700R4 tranny... I am going with the Vintage air system just to cleanup the engine compartment... I am wanting to stay with a old school hotrod look with the handling of a modern day sportscar...

Here is where I started before it was stolen and stripped...

This is where I am on it today...

Don't do it!! Lol. Those rims are awesome IMO. That truck has a major coolness factor going on. If there's too much white for ya, break it up a little by painting the hubs or some nice caps on those wide rims would be bad %ss..

We ran our C/20 since November 1966 pretty much like you see it... That is right We are the original owners of this truck... My Dad Bought it new and I inherited it in 2004 when he passed away... The last years of his life he talked about doing pretty much what I am doing but never got around to it before his health started failing him in 1996...

Re: am i not cool?

If you're dead set on different wheels, you could put chrome hub caps with chrome rings, or go for the rims you really want. but DON'T get rid of the steel wheels, you can always go back. (personally I like it the way it is)

Thanks! Unfortunately I changed tires not to long ago and realized that 2 rims are the same and 2 rims are completely different so i have 3 different style rims lol....the offsets are different and the way the hub cap mounts are different...so I have no choice but to leave them as is for now...paint is weak and starting to crack...might take them to get powder coated

Re: am i not cool?

It's my opinion that anyone driving one of these (67-72) is cool. Lifted or Lowered, pumped or stock, rusted or rust free!!! I thumbs up everyone one o them.

Re: am i not cool?

Your truck looks cool the way it is! Long live the 3/4 tons!!!!

My green '70 has taller tires in the back (I think it gives it a good rake).

I plan on running my grandfather's '70 at stock height. I'm keeping my eye out for some clean white steel rims.

X2 I lowered mine 5x7 and all I gotta do is change the springs and spindles and viola back up high

Re: am i not cool?

Why does everyone get so hung up on what other people do to their own trucks? I love em all, no matter how they were built/rebuilt or just plain original. They are all awesome!

The only thing that drives me nuts is when people call lowering a trend, people have been lowering trucks for decades. Not exactly trend material. Every truck has a purpose, sometimes that purpose is just to be driven, not worked.

I love the look of your truck, I have always been a fan of the monochrome look. The only thing I would change would be some caps on the wheels.
