Front:
15x7 smoothie wheels
225/75/15
3 inch drop springs
2.5 inch drop spindles

Rear:
15x7 smoothie wheels
225/75/15
4 inch drop springs

I am not sure how I feel with the rake...might have to use 2 inch drop blocks in the rear.

Front: 2.5" drop spindles and 1" drop spring
Rear: 3" drop spring. Had a 2" drop block in there at first but it was too low.

Your setup is similar to mine, I’m going to be running 3” rear drop springs and 2.5” drop spindles with stock springs.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Just put the new wheels on today (posted under Tire/Wheel pics as well). 1963 C10, dropped 6" in the rear with ECE springs, lowering shocks, and relocation kit. Stock rear bump stops were cut about 3/4".

Front is dropped 4.25" by using 2" drop ECE springs and cutting one coil off. I replaced the bump stops in front with Energy suspension parts. I used longer bump stops up top (Energy suspension part 9.9143R) so when the car is jacked up the springs do not come loose. The lower bump stops (Energy Suspension 9.9101R) are cut to give adequate clearance. This allowed me to leave the drum brakes in place.

Tires are 275/55-17 on 17" x 9" wheels.

I had 62 which I dropped 2 inches using the torsion bars and everything still worked fine. You will need to get your alignment done though.

Great look.
And please don't take this as criticism, it's just something I started noticing lately. And I think it's caused by adding discs in the front which moves the front wheels out. When I go to discs, I'll be using wider wheels in the back, so it may not be noticeable.

The front was 2.5" spindles with 2" springs and the rear was 3" springs and 2" blocks.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Well here she is. 64 swb. First time getting to see and play with one. POL 3/5 drop springs. Will get another 2.5/2 once we do the disc conversion. 292/4spd 3.73 posi. Also as you can see in the last pic. The rear wheels are pushed back pretty far in the wheel well. Is this common when dropping the trucks? And what’s the fix? Shorter drive shaft? Thanks

You would need to move the entire suspension forward to center the rear wheels in the opening. If you look, the front isn't centered either.

I’ve been told that it’s just the driveline that needs shortening. I know the front ones are not centered from the factory that’s why most ppl will buy aftermarket to move them forward. I’ll do some more searching.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

It's very common for the sb stepsides to have the wheels toward the rear of the fender opening. It is also common that the sb fleetsides had the wheels towards the front of the wheel opening. I don't know why, they just do.

You could probably move your bed back slightly but not enough to center it.
