What size wheels and tires did you end up going with?

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
Looks great, I need to get to work! Any info on the clear? I was looking at using the bmw 'frozen' clear coat for the interior on mine. Sticking with gloss on the outside

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
For the clear I used ppg d8115 pre mixed flat clear . They also have d8113 and d8117.

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
Thanks! In the pictures it looks like the perfect not to flat/not to glossy finish. Would you go more glossy/flat if you had to do it over again? Sorry to load you up with questions...

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
No worries with the questions. I had many before I chose to go this route . I love how it turned out, it is the perfect amount of sheen. It is the approved refinish clear for the frozen cars and the Hyundai satin also.

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
Beautiful build! I'm definitely in for a build not too far up the road. Really dig the wheel/tire choice.

Nice work, I dig it. How do you plan on routing the throttle cable?

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
Gringoloco , the throttle cable was much easier than I thought it would be. Belive it or not I got that question a bunch from friends . I'll get some pictures of it soon .
71sleeper, it's a 98-02 fbody stock tank. I had one laying around and it fit pretty well and already had a fuel pump for a ls1 so I thought what the heck. It's kinds small but I'm sure I'll eventually change it. I'll get some pictures up soon. Probably not gonna be completely finished but I plan on being at goodguys in Charlotte in october. |

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
Love the work so far!! Are you doing the same size wheel rim on all four? What was your backspacing?

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
Looks good. Whats the backspacing on those rims? Hows the fit front and rear? Looks like you might have at least done some cutting for clearance on the inner fenders??

Re: 69 pro touring/ autocross.
It's a 18x9.4 on all 4 with 5"bs rear and 5.5" on front. I open up the inner fenders just for looks and access to the coilover adjustments.
