Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
I like the high mounted door speakers as I find your legs and the seat block the sound If mounted down low.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
A little update on some interior work.
Rebuilt the factory gauge cluster. Before and after shot Work done on the Kick panels and rear gas tank cover/speaker box Here's a pick of the test box I made ( in about 5 minutes)for the front kick panel box. Since there's not alot of air space I have decided to port the front kick panels. I made the test box to find out what the best hz to tune the port to. And the speaker sounds really nice ported much deeper and more filling sound. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
I got the a little update on the old pickup.
Getting interior together. Also sound deadened the whole cab. Still need to install the kick and door panels. Got the windshield in and I did some more work on the "patina" of the truck. I couldn't tell you how many hours I have in the paint job and still working on it. And here she is as she sits today with my two helpers |

Had some time and got the engine together. It's a stock impala 327 SS 275hp engine.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
i think you did the truck a lot of justice by working that patina finish a little more. Now it looks the way it should. Isn't it amazing how much time you can put into a paint job like this? Had you just left it blue, you could have spent all this other time and energy else where on the truck. But it's worth it.
Looks good buddy!!!

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
I've checked your build out numerous times. Man this thing looks good, I love the color and how you aged it. Your speaker boxes are coming out great. Can't wait to see all the kick and door panels done. Motor looks great too!!

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
I'm not sure how much we'll be seeing of him anymore. He sold this truck and picked up a 67 or 68 Camaro convertible project car.

Wow! Nice find. I would have hated to let the truck go though, but a guy can't keep them all.
