V-8 In 6Cyl. Spot

Can I still use the same rod from colum to the pivot point or is there mods there to?I have everything slid back cause I didn't want to lengthen drve shaft. The combo is a 327/350.Do I need to move the pivot point back that is attached to the frame or keep it in the same spot?Any help would be appreciated.

EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. I ROUTEENLY (SPELLING??) PUT V-8s IN THE 6 CYL. POSITION WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING. I LIKE EM THERE. BETTER TRACTION & WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION & TRANSFER = BETTER HANDLEING.

You mean the pivot ball for the clutch linkage?

You need a V8 one, it just screws into a tapped hole on the engine block

THERE ARE HOLES IN THE FRAME JUST ABOUT 2" FURTHER BACK THAT THE FRAME BRACKET WILL BOLT TO. (OTHERWISE G.M. WOULD HAVE HAD TO MAKE A DIFFERENT FRAME FOR 6s & V-8s) . THE PARTS ARE ALL THE SAME. JOHN

If you put the V8 in on the I6 mounts, you will see a tapped hole in the block that's even with the 6 cylinder z-bar mount on the frame. Take a V8 pivot ball and screw into that hole and you're good to go.
