Pros/cons w/ bedliner in cab

What are the pros and cons of using beliner stuff on the bottom of my cab. Dont want to use paint because I want it to last a long time and im afraid of using undercoating because heat might make it stick to the carpet.
Thanks

One con I thought about was that these trucks have proven themselves far from water proof. It would seem that using a spray-in liner would allow any water that gets to those "in between areas" (that can't be coated) to be trapped.

I think the stuff would work great as a sound deadener though & I'm seriously considering the option.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
