Suspension difference
Was just wondering what the difference was between a 67-72 fornt suspension and a 73-87 front? The reason I ask is because I see alot of people switching. Is there a better ride, or is it just for disc brake reasons?

Another reason I ask is because my friend has an 81 and is running 20x10 rims on the front with no clearence issues, and I have 20x9.5 and I rub the a-arm should I switch to that style a-arm to fix it or is there a better fix?

Where is your clearance issue? Dimensions of the arms are very close between the early and late parts. Either of you running a drop spindle? This could be the difference.

Thats what I figured my rubbing is on the a-arm during a full right turn. But he running them and I am not that is probably the difference because it would lift the rim up higher. I knew it did not sound right because I know alot of guys running a 10" rim on the front.

Also depends on backspacing. What is his backspacing compared to yours? There is a 1/2" difference in total wheel width if they are the same, which equates to 1/4" more on the inside for his wheels. There's got to be a difference in backspacing.

I don't know exactly but I will find out. At least they don't rub the fender.
