Two piece Drop shackles
I have searched for these and can not find them. I saw a '87 swb at the gas station a couple weeks ago with the perfect drop I want to put in my '83 swb. I talked to the guy and he knew very little about the components used. It looked like spindles in the front and a two piece rear shackle that DID NOT require notching the cross member. It moved the eye of the spring back behind the cross member. He thought they were called easy ride or soft ride. All he really knew is they were spendy. I would rather used these then cut up a clean box. We don't see too many in MN. Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: Two piece Drop shackles
You can do a flip kit without notching the frame or bed, or you can do shackles and hangers.

Re: Two piece Drop shackles
shackles and hangers should get you a ~4" drop while a flip kit should do ya for ~5" Either of those options are for the rear.

Re: Two piece Drop shackles
How do they attain this smoother ride that they claim ? Is the lower part of it made of rubber ? Is that safe ?

Re: Two piece Drop shackles
The black Diamond (square standing on its point) is all rubber, so it gives a bit before the leaf spring has to flex. Smoother yes, last long no.. I cant imagine it would.

Re: Two piece Drop shackles
That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. I am looking to level the truck so the rear only needs to come down about 2 in.

Re: Two piece Drop shackles
I've heard that they lower the back about 1 inch or so, maybe 2. I did a little research and as far as I know they aren't being manufactured anymore.
