Lifted my truck...steering issues now!!!
I lifted my trauk and only put a 4" susp. on it and it also has 2 or 3" shackles in the front and it will turn really good to the right but not to the left.only about a 1/4 of a turn. how can i fix this????Please help thanks

Adjust your draglink. The way I did it was I went to an open parking lot and drove in a circle one direction then the other. Keep adjusting until you are making the same size circle in both directions. Duno if that is the right way or not but it worked for me

Did you replace the stock steering arm with one for a 4" lift.

No I have a 6" arm I boguht for it but never installed it but I was told that the steering arm had nothing to do it it so I didnt install it maybe i should???

You need that.Then you need to center the steering box with the wheels.I get my wheels straight,then count the turns in either direction.Like 1 1/2 right and 2 3/4 to left,for example.That would be 1 1/4 different.Divide in half which would be 5/8 turn of the wheel.Now get the wheels straight as you can by eye again.Disconnect the back end of the drag link (@ steering arm).Lock steering wheel in one direction and count total turns to lock in the opposite direction.Take it back 1/2 that number and the column will be centered.Now,extend both ends of the drag link until it`ll go in the steering arm.Then,pull the steering wheel and turn signal canceller and center those.

When DirtyLarry and I lifted my K5 we ended up with it turning really sharp in one direction and really wide in the other. The steering wheel was 90* off too. This was with a 4" arm too.
IIRC what we did was to centered the front wheels as close as we could. The steering wheel was still off center. Larry then used a special tool (looked like a hook) to crank on the draglink to adjust it's overall length. As he did this the steering wheel slowly turned back to the correct orientation. This centered the steering box and put the drag link at the correct length. But it was a couple of years ago and I've had a few beers since then. Larry might be able to chime in and give the exact details of what we did. Keep this in mind, when lifting and using a raised steering arm the drag link has to be adjusted. The length it was for the stock set up will not be the same as the lifted setup with the correct arm on it. I don't think mine took more than 3-4 turns to dial it back in.
