72 plastic interior door panels
I have a 72 LWB ,I am trying to restore....of coarse dealing with PO hacks as usual. The interior door panels have been cut for a speaker. Has anyone repaired their door panels back to the original look without hacked speaker holes?
My first thought was to patch from behind the hole and use a flexible filler, sand down to contour and then spray with SEM texture spray to get back the plastic textured look. Then respray the panel with (Color bond) vinyl spray. |

Re: 72 plastic interior door panels
You can purchase repro panels from LMC truck.
As for patching them... to get the proper pattern I would think it to be quite hard. You can patch after all or you could buy a pair from the parts section when they would come up. |
