Re: 2wd to 4wd
This sway its not the most common thing to do and a few people have done it, just gotta search around. Anyways, I did this swap and found some differences. I was trying to swap 4x4 3/4 suburban brackets/crossmembers/etc to a 3/4 ton 2wd drive frame. The height between the frame rails was different and the rear hangers off a suburban will be different. You'll need them off a pickup, 3/4 ton or 1/2 ton will work. Its still work in progess, but heres the tread. I suggest measuring before you purchase, but the rear brackets will be different.

Re: 2wd to 4wd
You can use the stock hangers on the rear of the truck now, but will have to lift it 3-4 more inches to sit level.
I did a 4wd swap to my 89 crew. Used 1/2 hangers for the rear, and B52 kit up front. Front has 4" springs and 6-7" long shackles, rear has stock 1 ton springs, small lift build into the spring perch, and about a 2-3" lift from a shackle flip.
