A couple guys tried putting the 99-up Silverado dash into a square body and made them fit but it left too little room for the driver as the dash is quite a bit deeper.

In one of the threads somebody posted a pic of a 95-? vintage dash they had put in a square body and it looked like it fit well. Can't remember what year it was exactly but I bet if you searched for the thread that has the Silverado dash swap in it that one might have it. The thread is less than a year old so that can narrow your search down a little.

Just make sure you have power windows. I saw a 95+ dash in a 73-87 suburban a while back with manual windows and you had to open the door to roll them down. The Cranks hit the dash lol.

i remember that truck.... bought the magazine just becuase of it... nice, im going to see if i can find the link. He also put the same style front bumper on the front.. looked sick. So would you get a discount on the car insurance for having a truck with an airbag?? lol.

That's a sweet looking truck. I like the look of the newer bumper up front.

It's a nice truck, but the seats and ash make the interior very cramped. I saw it at a car show, and realized a "full figure" kinda guy would not fit well.

Re: Has anyone put a 95 or newer dash in a 73-87 truck?

do you guys think its crowded because of the seats? those new seats sit higher and push you forward more. i think even if you cut the rails down you still need to cut the floor pan to get it to sit in the right spot. and you really cant do much about it pushing you forward... im doing it in a crew cab so i think i can get away with having the dash and the seat all out of my 97 chevy.

If you are putting it in a crew I doubt you will have a problem with room. Make sure you do a build thread.

probally cold do some seat floor pan work if you reloacated the gas tank to the rear. other than that theres no way to mod the floor pan.
