What to use for lower radiator hose?
I've installed my 6.0 for the last time finally. I have the 99 upper radiator hose, but what are you guys using for the lower?

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
I used both the upper and lower hoses that came on the 5.3l. Both fit like a glove, and the lower was practically the same shape as the truck's original hose.

What year 5.3? Should I get a 99 just like the upper?

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
I used the stock 350 hose that was originally in the truck. I had to trim it down a little, but it also fit very well

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
Ya, I mocked it up, and considered cutting off some on the water pump side.

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
This is the hose off of the 2006 engine. I imagine they would be the same from 99-07 at least. I also trimmed a little off the water pump end. I could have used either this hose or the one off of the small block, but this one was in much better shape, so I used it. Fits perfect with no kinks.

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
I bought 1 for a 02 and since I have a/c already in my truck the inlet and outlet of the radiator is bigger, therefore I really had to stretch the hoses to get them on. what a pita.

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
glock, how wide is ur radiator, I have the stock 65 and it is only like 25" wide so the lower hose is really contorted.

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
Ya, how wide is the radiator? I found the perfect one for my 56 but it's a narrow radiator. 21710 Gates, but the 90 degree turn on the end has to be cut off.

Re: What to use for lower radiator hose?
It's about 28.5" inside the tanks. It's the truck's original radiator.
