The front edge is actually great other than a couple of small gravel dings, no rust. There is a place on the back that I need to give some attention too, rust is starting, it had leaned against a tree for a few years. I might use it instead of the one on my 67.

I found one on Craigslist and drove about 250 miles to get it. I bought it for $140. It was leaning against an old shed, about .25 mile off the 'paved' road.

but man, it is clean.. It is in my 68 build below.

Those are hard to come by with no rust in the front lip. You did your neighbor a great favor removing it from his place...lol! Now I don't feel so bad letting my louvered '67 hood lean against a post outside my shop the last couple years. Maybe that's better for them than installed.
