Help Identifying Parts
I started the tear down on my 5.3 donor engine and I need help identifying two parts.
This one had nothing attached to it ![]() This is a hose that ran along the drivers side on top of the intake it was not connected to anything ![]() ![]() Thanks for the help |

The plate above the oil filter covers openings into the block that can be used for oil cooler/radiator. You can tap that fitting for an oil pressure sensor or oil line to your stock oil pressure gauge.
The black plastic line is the EVAP line. I believe it comes from the tank/charcoal canister and pulls vapors into the intake manifold to be burned off. You can easily put a cap over the EVAP solenoid and delete it from your program/computer so that you don't have a MIL/Check Engine light coming on.
