How do I adjust the Shift Indicator
i just bought a 94 K2500 with a 3" body lift and the shift indicator is off, they welded a extension ti the linkage but it is way off is there some way to fix this or do I have to live with it..

Depends which way its off you have to adjust or make your own linkage,Or lose the body kit and put a stock linkage back on it.

If it is a mechanical rod the fix would be to put the trans in neutral, shifter at neutral and see how much longer or shorted it needs to be. Add or shorten enough to tread the rod for a threaded rod end, maybe using a heavy turn buckle with reverse threads so turning oneway lengthens, other shortens.

Ok thank guys I will try something and see what happens I don't like driving with the needle on N not sure when I will get to it, it will be in the 20's trough the weekend.

Surely there is some adjustment built into it?
I have put dozens of bodylifts on earlier model trucks and everything with a solid linkage rod had a sliding adjuster on the transmission end.

OK I messed with it tonight and set it to Netural like OrrieG said, so R,N & D were right on but P I had push so it would click and it would only go to 2 so I am thinking the bend needs to be straightened out to give it more throw
