Sway bar Bushings

I have what looks to be a front sway bar on the 75 and the bushings are old, cracked, squished (that's a technical term), oily etc etc and i was thinking about replacing them as one of the small odd upgrades I could do. From a safety perspective (and bear in mind I don't know much about these Blazer things so forgive me if i sound retarded) it looks as if the job could be done from underneath without issue. Am I missing anything here or is it simply a case of supporting the bar as you replace each end one at a time?

Yes, these are fairly simple to change out. I carry the poly ones for 1-1/16" bars....

Re: Sway bar Bushings

is the size the THREAD size on the bar or the diameter of the bar itself?

Re: Sway bar Bushings

It will be the diameter of the sway bar.

Re: Sway bar Bushings

the diameter, i would just remove the whole bar. i like to toss a jack stank under the front of the bar. just so it doesnt fall.

Re: Sway bar Bushings

When you have that sway bar out, go ahead and sand and/or wire wheel it to clean it up, then paint it with some Rustoleum gloss black paint. Well worth the extra time.
