parting out 68 short bed.

I bought either a late 67 or 68 short bed from another forum member. All I need off it is the frame. It is pretty well complete minus the interior. The cab is shot, but has good glass. The front fenders, hood and core support are all use able, but have repair needs. Let me know what you need pictures of and i will post them up. I have the motor and trans as well. Motor is a 6 cylinder and trans is a 3 speed on the tree. Its a 6 lug truck. The grille is in very good shape. I can have any parts media blasted and primer etched if the buyer would like that done as well.
I basically want to get rid of the whole dang truck at once if possible. I'll sell all the sheet metal, motor and trans for 500 bucks. I'll sell the entire suspension for 250. Im located in northwest missouri, phone is 660-924-6375. Thanks, Ryan

Re: parting out 68 short bed.

I've already had a call wanting pictures. So here they are. Just let me know if you need any specific pictures of anything not shown. I have all of the sheet metal off of the frame and on my trailer as of now. I'll be pulling the motor and trans today. Still undecided if I'm going to use the suspension or not.

Re: parting out 68 short bed.

It was just brought to my attention that the steering wheel that came with the truck and the one that is pictured is different! Sorry about any confusion, I do not have the steering wheel pictured! I did however go back through the pictures and everything else looks to be correct.

Re: parting out 68 short bed.

Hoops? Are you referring to the bezels? I'd go $20 bucks for the bezels plus shipping. For the grille $100 plus shipping. I can get you better pics tomorrow. I just got done pulling the motor and trans from the frame and I'm smoked! Thanks

Most people call the long oval shaped trim pieces around the grill "hoops".
The bezels are usually around the headlights. The turn signals are inside these hoops . If that helps you any? Let me know and I understand the feelings after a long day of parting. If it's the hoops for $20 I'll take it and you can text me some better pics of the grill.

It's been raining nonstop all day. I will get more pictures up tomorrow if the rain quits. Sorry for the delay!

Re: parting out 68 short bed.

Grille has some dings and dents. Also two holes were drilled in the bottom for some sort of fog light set. The hoops have a few dings and dents in the upper, however the lower looks pretty good. I also have the original bowtie for the center.

Re: parting out 68 short bed.

Do you have the rear gear ratio and know whether it is limited slip?
