There are holes just in front and rear of the rear wheel opening and at the rear where the corner trim bolts on.

Negative. No holes near the wheel openings; only at the rear corner where the corner trim bolts on.

I guess maybe it could be a year model thing but on this 1983 bed it has holes for clips that keep the trim pulled in where the bed curves out at the wheel well . Every 81-87 bed I have seen has had these.

They may have stopped using the clips by '87. Not sure but I know they did before that as evidenced by the original paint '83 bed I posted. I would look up from underneath at the backside of the panel.

Out of curiousity I checked out my '83 and I can feel a hole but I don't feel a clip. Weird.

Wow. I don't remember that; my '87 certainly didn't have those.

It sure would help keep the molding tight in that "cove" area, though, which was a problem spot.

My 82 Blazer has holes on each side of the rear well and on the rear of the front well. My 82 pickup had the holes too.

Re: are there holes under side trim? 1984 c10

My 83 has holes right behind the front wheels, and the rear corners are bolted on. The rest was just held on (poorly) with adhesive.

Mine's all peeded off over the years. Wish I could find an exact match to the trim in you pic OP. That's what my High Sierra had on it, and while there are a lot of "kinda close" trims out there, there isn't any exactly match to the black and chrome available.
