Rear brake lines help needed.
Hey guys its been a while since I took the rear lines apart. I'm looking for any pictures of how the factory transitioned from the frame to the rear end housing on a 70 short fleet. I'm also looking for a 3/16 brake tee that has a mounting tab attached so I can attach it to the rear end housing. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you, |

I could go snap a pic of my '67 if that would help?

Re: Rear brake lines help needed.
Hopefully this helps. I don't know if this is the same on a '70. The brake line runs down the passenger side?! Guess I need to get under my truck more LOL!

Re: Rear brake lines help needed.
Here are three pics for you. The rusty one is my 68 rear end, should be the same as yours, the other clean one is for a 71, its the one I'm using, they both terminate on the right side cross member shown in the last pic.
The 68 utilizes a brass block that clamps to a bracket welded to the axle housing. The rubber flex line screws into that block and goes up to the tab on the cross member. Th 71 uses a block that has the rubber line crimped to it and fastens to the tab on the axle housing with a 5/16 bolt. It terminates like the 68 at the frame cross member. Hope this helps and if you need the 68 brass block, PM me and I'll send it to you for mailing costs |
