Re: Has Any One Used This Door Adj Tool

Sorry I just noticed you asked about HOW to use it. It's pretty simple, if you look at the pic that LMC has, the C-opening goes on the striker. The other end, the little rod goes into your latch. Then use a breaker bar on the 1/2" bolt part that right there beside the rod that goes into the latch. And then go up or down with the breaker bar, which ever way you need to adjust your door.
Now first, make sure you have a bushing on the striker. That being missing, will make your door feels like its out of adjustment. And then protect your paint on the door jamb where that adjust tool will be, just in case.

At the auto manufacturing plant, where I work, the weld adjust guys use this one. You can get really good leverage with it.

Re: Has Any One Used This Door Adj Tool

OP, Unless you have some VERY unusual situation (somebody lifted your truck on a hoist & caught the open door on something or similar) there really isn't a place where you should need that tool on one of these trucks. The hinges move easily & have plenty of adjustment unless you are working with some poor aftermarket door or something.
Tools like that became popular as the welded on hinges became "the norm". My advice...Try to figure out what is really wrong & fix it instead of bending whatever gives first. Lorne
