Do I need a high hump for a 4L60E?

Hey folks. I haven’t been on here in a while with a question but finally getting back to my project. Was wondering do I need a high hump trans tunnel to run a 4L80E and a 5.3 or will a low hump work just fine? I was thinking the trans is bulkier on the driveshaft end of the trans. Thanks

Re: Do I need a high hump for a 4L60E?

I'm running a 6.2 with a 4L60E and the low hump works fine. It's tight on the top, just a couple of inches, but it fits OK. No issue with the column shifter hooking up either, I used a Lokar rod kit. Had to bend it a little, but it works excellent.

On a previous build, I had a 5.3 with a 4L60E there as well, no issues with either one.

Hope this helps, and good luck!!

Ditto on the no need for the high hump...

Have mine installed now and no worries with clearance...

CTS-V pan works pretty good.
