1974 6-cyl with p/s in Chattanooga pick-a part
Just an FYI. There is a 1974 C30 with 6-cyl/4-sp in the Chattanooga, TN pick-a-part. On Saturday all the engine brackets were still intact. It had a combo p/s and air pump bracket. I just thought that if anyone was interested that they should know. I know 6-cyl p/s is hard to get brackets for. I assume it was a 292 but not sure.

Re: 1974 6-cyl with p/s in Chattanooga pick-a part
292s have the right [passenger] side motor mounts forward, and the fuel pump is in the middle, across from the left side motor mount.
The other L6s, 230 and 250, have symetrical motor mounts and the fuel pump is forward. Also the 292 has a 2 inch taller block, and the lifter/pushrod cover plates are 6'' tall, not 4'' By ''air'' bracket, did you mean air conditioning compressor bracket, or the A.I.R. [Air Injection Reaction] smog pump holder? Out of my reach, of course. I haven't been to Tennessee since I was in the military, 44 years ago.

I was afraid that was the case. Of course in a paradise like Tucson AZ, who needs A/C?
