1975 K10 Silverado with Hickey parts...Maybe
Just bought a 75 k10 today. It seems to have hickey parts or hickey style parts on it. Hopefully some of you guys can weigh in and let me know if you can tell by the pictures, what the parts are. Thanks Vinnie

Hey Vinnie. Nice truck. Yes there are several of us that collect hickey stuff. That’s what you have. A hickey grille guard with the headlight hoops. Rear saddle tanks rarer in a truck I’d say than a blazer. And maybe a transfer case guard? Any more pics?

Thanks. Right on. The sidewinder winch was the only thing I knew was Hickey, only because the handheld controls have the name on it. It has trusses on the front and rear axle but not sure if those are. I just saw a thread that talked about another company making those. I’ll try and get some more pictures up here

Sorry if the pictures aren’t very clear. I was looking at the 1975 Hickey catalogue posted by a member here and the seatbelts/harnesses that I found in the truck look a little like the ones in the catalogue. One of the straps has a patch that says “DEIST”

I’m not sure what all the options were in 75 but this one has a/c, tilt and a tach. Best of all is it’s smog exempt in California. Pretty happy about that part

Nice. Trusses most likely hickey too. Con-ferr made some too. The winch controller with hickey logo is uncommon as most I’ve seen had warn replacements

There’s also diamond plate screwed into the rocker panels along the bottom on both sides of the truck. I’m not a fan of it but was wondering if that was a Hickey thing too? I saw something similar in the Hickey catalogue. Thanks

Not familiar with hickey doing diamond plate but maybe? Shoot a pic. On a side note I love your truck if you decide to sell it let me know. Really cool

Cool. Any of that stuff you don’t want us buy. I’m doing a hickey tribute

I just saw this handy little fill hose. I wish my other car had that last week when I was filling the rear end with gear oil. I wouldn’t have had to tape a straw to the end of a plastic salad dressing bottle

Re: 1975 K10 Silverado with Hickey parts...Maybe
That's not a fill hose. That's an extended air vent so that you can drive through deep water.

I like that one!
I think mine is a more basic homemade version of that. |
