M/T column shift rods
Anyone know where these are available aftermarket? No luck with LMC. I need the larger diameter one seen here for my 77 C10 2wd.

They are not reproduced. You'll have to find someone with a used set that they no longer want.

Re: M/T column shift rods
Is that 3 on the tree shift rod you are pointing at? (I can’t see it that well on my phone)
If so, i have a 76 model set if thet will work. |

Re: M/T column shift rods
Yes that is correct. It’s called the first/reverse lever and it’s the larger diameter one of the two. If I’m reading the parts catalog correctly, as long as the rod you have came from a 76 model that was originally equipped with a V8, it should work! If it was originally a 76 with a 6 cylinder then it looks like it may be a different part number.

Eric8,
Sorry, the only thing that I could find with the linkage still intact was a 6 cylinder truck |

Re: M/T column shift rods
If you can’t find one have you considered bending a new one.
What’s wrong with the one in your pic? |

Re: M/T column shift rods
Mine broke on the end that attaches to the transmission. I can still hook up the linkage, but there’s not enough of the rod left to get a good adjustment. Fabricating something like that would be way beyond my capabilities. It transitions from round hardened steel to flat stock up by the shifter. Plus you’d have to fabricate the rod end that holds the shift bushing.

Take it to a welding guru.
They can put an end on your linkage that you’ll need. |
