Anyone here ever talk to the designers of the 67-72 trucks just to hear some insight?

The real question is has anyone talked to the design team of the current crop of GM pickups ? In my humble opinion they are just hideous looking. Not to mention they are mechanical nightmares. A close friend bought one and has had nothing but major problems. Transmission failed at 30K, now it’s in the dealer for valve lifter issues.

I'll have it painted someday, no rust no hurry. Toyota paints leave lots to be desired, but they can run forever and are often very comfortable.

Yes, I dislike the current gen GM trucks. However, I really like my 2017 and 2019 GMCs. Never had any issues with either one, but always change oil at 5k miles with AMSOIL, and the 2017 has been tuned since day one, so AFM was never working. The undercarriages are annually sprayed with Fluid Film.

Since hearing all this, I’m now looking at a LS or Diesel swap, because the rest of my truck is still in great shape. |
