Great Pumpkin 95% done. 68 K20 nut and bolt rebuild

Since the 4wd project section is not viewed alot, I thought I would post up pics here of this 23 month project I am glad is almost over. Basically all that is left is to charge the a/c, install decals, solve a vibration issue, put a few miles on the truck, and deliver it back to the owner for Christmas.

Short story version. Truck was a bone stock CST with buddy buckets. Had to clip the front half of the truck due to lots of cowl rot, replaced one cab corner and both rockers. Added the following: tach dash with guages, a/c, power steering, 5 speed transmission, alloy wheels, disc brake front end, aux battery, jump start kit, hydroboost, hydraulic clutch, chrome front and rear bumpers, blazer rear tank, hidden hitch, and probably a few things I am forgetting.

If you are interested in the build pics, head over to the 4wd project section.

external jump start plug that a pair of jumper cables plugs into so you do not have to open the hood.

Looks great. How will you ever be able to let it go after all of the hard work you put into it??
Oh yeah, besides the cash.

yes it is hydroboost for a 74 one ton. Made the plate to install, not a bolt on deal

Made the plate to bolt to the firewall, was not a direct bolt in. I had to make a rod extension and enlarge the hole in the firewall. Stock unit for a 74 chevy one ton

it is a new unit I did not painted since if it got brake fluid spilled on it, it may strip the paint if it was not cleaned soon enough. There is a few other parts on the truck (new MOOG suspension pieces) not painted either. None of it was painted orginally either.

Very nice build! Paint usually doesn't like to stick to master cylinders unless you use chemical resistant paint.
