Did you use the 700R4/NP241 adapter then too?

The front x member is very very close to my AC compressor. With out it you would have an inch of clearance around the pan.

I used the 2004 Transfer case adapter that came with the 4L60E. The transfer case end is the same as the 241 and 208's.

Been looking at Neals and Robertsons websites for parts searches.

So get a 5.3, 4L60E w the transfercase adapter?

Do you think the 4L80E be the same too?

Whats the last year for DBC?

Did you take any pics of your motor mounts or which ones do you think would fit with the least amount of front cross member issues?

Talked to a buddy of mine at work that recently bought a NASA Surplus truck from a dealer in Florida and said that the single wheel crew cab V3500s with a TBI 350 came with 4L80/NP205 so that brings a new HD option to the table besides the 4L60/NP241.

Yup I new that those trucks had the early style 80E. The adapter will work to put a 205 on back of one. Good luck finding one! LOL, and if you find 2 get me one!

I have a pair of mounts I'd sell ya cheap. You could use them, they set the engine back 1".

2002 was the last year for DBC that I'm aware of. Some of the vans may have lingered on to later years.

Guess I should update this.... Sold it... but to my nephew. He and I pulled the engine and trans back out of it and he is now working on the body. He knows the thread is on this site, and intends to keep it up to date.
