Where to find door weatherstripping

I am overseas and need door gaskets for my 72. I read a few posts about the style GMC Pauls sells but they won't ship to military APO so I need to find another source. Who makes/sells them?

I'd try Wes. I believe he sells the same ones GMCPaul does. They clip on, no gluing, awesome part.

Re: Where to find door weatherstripping

If yu are stuck and need them, mid 90's I believe Dodge Dakota will work from an auto wrecker. Might be just as hard to find over there though..

And thats why I LOVE this board!

The ones GMCpauls carries which are the BEST... are made by precision.

Re: Where to find door weatherstripping

I've heard stuff from 99 up full silverado-suburban clip right in and are quite a bit nicer than stock. They have the corner molded in and are a little longer so all you have to do is trim them to fit.

Re: Where to find door weatherstripping

I bought mine couple of years ago from GMCPauls. At first the doors were somewhat hard to close so I had to adjust the striker out a little. After a summer they will mold to the door.

Leave a little more than needed at the bottom where the two ends meet. Maybe 1/4 inch. Mine seemed to have shrunk about that much but I think it was my fault for not pushing the corners in all the way. Overall, very pleased with them.

I bought window channel kit and seals at the same time and found out that with the cab sealed tighter it is easier to close the door slowly until there's about 6 inches left then push it faster to close it.

The OP's '72 should have a cab vent so it should close fine. That is a nice problem to have though. My cab corners provide plenty of ventilation.

Thank you much for your service.

I just bought weatherstrip from GMCPaul and it is made by "Precision" but it does not just clip on, absolutely needs glue.

Did I order the wrong part?
