I've used one on straight zerks that were difficult to reach at best. Dirty grease squirted out around the unsealed shaft away from the zerk so it was feeding through and not just making a mess at the zerk. It wasn't a super tight seal though.
I'd be interested to see the fitting they were actually made for. If it's low enough profile it might be worth changing to... in places like the upper Ball Joint on the Dana44 and down those nasty holes on the baler and the chopper... If I can reach em to swap em out.
