My wife also really likes the wrap around porch. I think that was what allowed me to get this house with the large garage over one in a traditional neighborhood.

The truck in the garage is the previous owners. Tried to get it, as well as the donor truck sitting out back, in the contract, but guess he liked them too much.

Howdy from Lewisville! That's a nice truck. My wife thinks she saw your truck a few weeks ago. She has a 70 also. Where did you get your windshield and alignment done? I haven't found anyone in town that I trust to touch her truck!
Also congrats on your new house. I think that garage is bigger than most of the houses here in lewisville!!!

Thanks! I will check out your posts and take a look at the pictures of her truck.

I got the alignment done at AA Automotive down at the end of business 121 where it joins with toll 121. The guy that runs and/or owns the shop is a bit rough around the edges, but they did a great job. I drove by one day and stopped in. Asked him what they knew about performing alignments on these trucks. He said that it was no problem for them and they have a Hunter alignment machine. I had read about the Hunter somewhere on here as being one of the best. I mentioned that I heard stories about some places not understanding how to properly align our trucks and he replied that other guys are dip-$!@# and reassured me they knew what they were doing and would do a great job. I asked for the print out afterwards and he said they were out of ink. They offered for me to bring it back the following week to get a printout. I never did as the truck drives great after the alignment.

For the windshield I went to safelite off 35. They also knew about these trucks and even enough to say that if it had chrome trim around the gasket that they would pass on the job.

NICE.... I did the same with my oldest daughter she did a 69 elcamino and a 74 nova, she is now in her mid 20s with a daughter of her own. I'm now helping my son he is working on a 68 c10 he is paying for it all and helping with most of the work.. He is 16.. All of my kids have helped with my 68 chevelle or our 70 nova.. its in there jeans. My youngest daughter she is 15, is looking to start on a camero or nova this next year.. Cant wait to get my grand daughter started..

Headed to the title company in two hours to close on this house! Can't wait. Soon that ford in the garage will be replaced with my daughter's 1970 C10 as well as a 1974 Spirit of America Nova that I am going to start working on after the truck is finished (is it even possible to ever be finished?).

Congrats on the house and daughter. I hope she drives the wheels off of it... My daughter also helped on her '68 Nova and after she was out on her own she still did her own brake jobs and carb rebuild. She also did all of the oil changes on her vehicles until she bought a new car a couple of years ago.
