That is what I was thinking too. The new tank isn't stamped with the part number like my GM11B tank is. It only gas a small sticker on it with GM11A on it. Have no idea what GM11A tank is for.

I looked it up, it's an 80' and earlier Squarebody tank, looks to have a smaller filler neck.

I would use the return if you have it. A $10 fuel filter is way better when it comes time to change it than a $60 filter that can have a bad regulator straight out of the box. Also vacuum referenced fuel pressure versus a set pressure, so you have to tune for it. I'll never understand peoples infatuation with the returnless rail.....
