Re: Raymond

Ok... I know it has been along time since I have given a update on the truck so here we go...

I took the truck back to Patterson Racing because it was smoking heavily out of the pipes at all RPM... They had it for over a month... The end results were the Valve seals were bad in it so they replaced them... Now it does go down the road fogging like a Mosquito machine... While they had the truck working on it, they damaged the really cool Upper radiator "hose" that Drew Carlson made for the truck... Now it will have to go Back to Carlson Hot Rods to get that fixed along with a few little issues...

While it was at Patterson's it leaked Tranny fluid all over the floor... (Allen was NOT happy)... So when I picked it up from there I took it straight to the Tranny shop... I have to say these shops are really starting to work on my good nature... This is the second time I have had to deal with a leaky transmission in this truck... The first time they told me the pan was leaking so they resealed it... Now they asked me who pulled the transmission pan and sealed it with silicone... I told them nobody has touched the tranny since them.. They said well you had it at Patterson's they must have tried to seal it... I know Patterson and his guys and I know for a fact they would not have done anything, so I told these guys to quit trying to pass the buck and fix the F__king Transmission... So, the short of it they fixed it and I got it back...

Then I took it to my nephews shop to get the Rear lowered another 1.5" and to make sure the pinion angle was correct... We discovered the angle is off appx 4 degrees causing some of the vibration in the truck... We have the shims on order to gix this issue...

While we wait on those to come in I took the truck over to my favorite Alignment shop... These same two guys have done all the work on my cars since I was 15...

The camber was soooo far off on this truck Gene asked me how I could even hold it on the road... That has been fixed but he is baffled why it doesn't return when you turn it... I have done some extensive research on this and I think I have stumbled on the issue so I will take it back to him with some documentation and see what he thinks...

Carlson Hot Rods has had my buddy Buckets for awhile now to recover them and make some mods to it like make the seat backs fold forward and install some cup holders... All the modifications have been done now we are waiting on the White Vinyl to get here so they can start stitching...

Here are some pics of the buddy buckets as they sit now...
