I think I’m going to go for the 2.5” as everyone is saying that is the best one for daily drivers. Thanks everyone.

Re: What lift
I added the zero rate spring after my skyjacker spring install. I saw that the back of the truck was just a little bit lower. The 1" zero rate spring brought up the back end just enough and leveled it out.

Re: What lift
In my case, many years ago I added an AAL to my K20's factory rear spring pack. Then a few years back I added a heavy-duty Hellwig overload leaf spring kit. The truck now sits virtually level with the 2.5" Skyjackers up front.
I'm not recommending this combination, just posting it for comparison purposes. With all that rear spring capacity, the truck has a pretty firm ride. But it handles heavy loads pretty well, which was my goal.

Re: What lift
Huh, I will most likely need to add that, you only had a short bed and still was not level wonder what a long bed would do.

Re: What lift
Awesome truck you got there. I've been planning to modify mine to make it more off-road capable truck but I lack the reference to do so. I already have a set of rockstar wheels I got last December to start with.

Re: What lift
2" Tuff country on my 70 netted about 4" of total height gain from where it was before I started. It was little taller than I was hoping, but the ride is much smoother, i have noticed a lot more body roll for sure around corners too. the i put 3" springs on the back but it was way to low so i had to put the factory 1.5" blocks back in. This still did not level out the frame so, I will be putting some 2-2 1/4" block in soon.

Re: What lift
72 K15 - I'm assuming you had factory suspension... if so, what are your intentions with your stock suspension? I'm looking for stock springs to put my K 10 back to original.
Thx

Re: What lift
My 71K1500 has Tuff Country 2" spring lift. Tires are 32x15 Cooper Discoverer. To me, the truck sits more like it has a 4" lift, to high for my taste. I have a complete set of leaf springs from a 67-72(not sure which year) K20. Any guesses on how my truck would sit with these K20 springs on it? I think the K20 springs are compatable, as replacement springs use the same numbers for K10 and K20. Would the old K20 rear springs be to harsh riding on a short bed? I could save much $ by using the used K20 spring.

Re: What lift
My truck has K20 rear springs I have 5 leafs and an overload. I removed my overload spring. How many do your stock K10 springs have how many on the K20's ?
I cant tell you how they ride yet as I haven't got mine on the road yet. close very close!!!

Re: What lift
Both the 2" Tuff Country springs and the original equipment K20 springs have a total of 6 leaves. Both springs lower leaf is much shorter, this must be what your referring to as an overload spring. I didn't measure, but the K20 total spring pack looks a little thicker or taller than the Tuff Country.

Re: What lift
Sorry yes the short almost flat leaf is the overload leaf.
I am not sure but I think most stock k10’s have 3-4 springs including the overload My sons c10 had 4 total leafs and when we lowered it we replaced them with a 2 leaf pack.
