Yep, got mine from you. I spent more time routing and laying wires pretty than what it really took for the install. Best upgrade/maintenance I have invested in yet.

Thank you.

Re: Complete rewiring

I purchased a kwik wire kit at carlisle PA. It has to be spliced and does not look fun. I have been talked into AAW for sure. I just insulated the cab and it is time to wire the truck. Really, the youtube video convinced me. Thanks guys you have saved me again.

Re: Complete rewiring

I was surfing ebay last night for parts for 72 chevy truck and came across aaw wiring harness for $458.00 , but if you search directly for the aaw harness it is listed for $479.00. So beware I paid $479.00 and I will call them and see if they refund the $20.

I did ask for a refund, and he informed that the price was $479.00 . I went back to make sure I was right and found that he has removed the listing for $458.00..Oh well I guess we all are gonna pay the higher price now. At least there is free shipping. I hope I don't have to wait long, his stats on ebay show he isn't getting many points for fast shipping.

Re: Complete rewiring

Like i said i got Jinxed. Havent been able to order it yet, Daily Driver title transfer, plates, and registration came up $447 to the state, Wifes car needed front wheel bearings, brake pads, rotors, camshaft positioning sensor, belt and tensioner $520 at oreillys. Wife Birthday is Feb 13, then Valentines day Feb 14, Daughter started Daycare again Feb 21st, My Bday is this weekend feb 26th, Did turbo tax efile last weekend so 7k refund should be coming this next week maybe I might order it Feb 29th just so i can still fit into my original statmenent ..."Wife said yes, i may be getting AAW next month"

When I do order it Im sure it wont be installed right away. i have these concerns, should i wire the truck now and drive as or fix some stuff before wiring?
1. Cab has rust in the typical door sills and corners - no biggie, however Cab roof line has interior rust above the windshield (span behind sun visors) am i going to want to replace the cab or repair this ?
2. Do i want to wire the truck now if im going to have to replace the cab later?
3. I have set of poly cab mounts now to install, should i do this first before wiring the truck? i perhaps i should ask this in a new thread?

I understand your situation. Would be a good idea to post pictures of the problem areas for ideas and/or suggestions. If you decide to replace the cab, I know where a pretty solid small window one is.

That would be cool, I get the feeling small window is more cherrished but I think i like large window better. But im not picky im not making original restored. Get me some info on the one you mention. Ideal would be rust free or already patched cab like i read so many people get on here for free.
I should get some pics up but kinda eh about it, Previous owner sealed the rust (or leak at the time) with aluminum A/C tape and covered tape with strip of headliner, not untill i got some visor clips to install did i realize the metal wasnt metal anymore just flakes, I dont know how sure i am i want to take the tape off for and open it up just for pic purpose
