Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

Installed my cold air intake I got from ebay. Fits nice and looks great. Also installed the oil bypass adapter to eliminate the oil line cooler.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

Installed the new gas pedal assembly with the Lokar throttle cable along with with finishing the B&M Mega Shifter. Also installed the wiring harness. I ended up buying one from Tech Rods off Ebay and is awesome. Very well built. Just got my ECM back from LT1 PCM Tuning and be hooking it up tomorrow. Next week I'll order the Stainless Steel fuel lines from Purechoice Motorsports to go from the fuel rail to frame. I'll also order the fuel pump from Tanks Inc with the baffle already built in, The PA series. I'll post pics as I progress. I made my own fitting for the steam line off the head and tied it into the heater hose. I didn't want to tap and drill the water pump as I've seen some do. If I ever have a water pump go bad I don't want to have to modify it.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

Installed the stainless steel teflon lined fuel lines from the engine to the frame. I ran steel lines to the back of the truck with a fram filter installed in feed line. I'm also going SS lines from the fram to tank, make is easier to drop tank if I need to for a fuel pump. I got the fuel lines and fittings from Pure Choice Motorsports. They are very helpful and knew exactly what I needed for the swap. Also installed the SS line for the power steering I got from pure choice.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

Installed my LMC tank kit and recessed the top of the tank to clear lines for the Tanks Inc PA series pump. The pump needs 1 1/4" clearance from the top of tank. I only had about a 1/2". I cut out the top of the tank, made a recess plate and welded it back in. Checked for leaks and none. Was happy. Used my mig welder with 023 wire. I'm looking at Tig Machines and may get one next month.

Started the LT1 today and ran great. Had to replace the TPS. Here's a video on you tube. I hope I did the link right.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

Here's a picture of the finished fuel tank with the tanks inc pa pump recessed in tank. Also a pic of the engine running. I need to finish up a few details and start on the 9" rear end transplant with disks and posi from a lincoln.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

I don't understand what mounts do I use for the lt1 in a 67 c10. The bolts on the passenger side are flipped upside down. Engine is a 97. Everyone is saying just use stock mounts. I got straight 6 engine mounts 3 bolt. Will they work ?

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

The engine mounting provisions on the LT1 block is the same as the Gen I small block. Yes your I6 engine mounts will work just fine once you remove the bracket that attaches to the block. The '63-'72 truck engine mounts are all the same whether for a small block or an I6.
